When one of our patients is diagnosed with TMJ Disorder (tempromandibular joint disorder), Dr. Amy Norman determines the degree to which the bite should be realigned. “Dr. Norman has spent years receiving special training to realign a patient’s jaw without surgery,” Judy said. The goal of treatment is to bring the jaw into a natural state of alignment which eliminates the irritation in the critical tempromandibular joint and the surrounding tissues and nerves. A full mouth reconstruction focuses on correcting the relationship between muscles, jaw joints, and teeth. Misalignment causes TMJ symptoms.
